Inspired by the open landscape, big skies and the long-distance views of dominant industrial shapes, the form of the sculpture is a response to its surroundings. Carved from Hill House Edge sandstone the edges appear sharp from a distance but are gently rounded. The concave form of the plinth corresponds to the disc of the sculpture, allowing for the circle to remain continuous.
