Low Flying Cars II
Sculpture Symposium, Auckland, New Zealand
In 2010 I was lucky enough to get a place on this symposium and spent three weeks carving a boulder of basalt in the New Zealand sunshine. Basalt is an incredibly hard, but versatile stone and takes a beautiful polish. The sculpture was based on a sketch I did of one of my daughters.
I would like to thank John Ferguson and his family for their hospitality and generosity.
